POSITION OVERVIEW:
Parsons is all set to hire a Project Manager
- IS who provides direction and management for small to medium
-sized projects and ensures on
-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.
The Project Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives.
May Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in
-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Project Management Senior Specialist will be responsible for coordination, project management and delivery of multiple infrastructure, mobilization and/or application development initiatives for one of Parsons.
Specifically, the Project Manager will coordinate with software vendors, Hardware Vendors, internal account IS infrastructure and applications teams, and with Parsons’ senior executives in executing the various infrastructure / application projects. Additional responsibilities include proposal development, project schedule, scope, and budget control throughout the project, as well as project communications.
• Overall success of each project, to be completed within approved budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction
• Facilitation of requirements gathering with the customer and internal subject matter experts to meet both business and technical requirements to plan
• Tracking, documenting, and communicating scope, status, and RAID items throughout the project
• Coordination of solution design and review
• Resolution of project issues
• Documentation of Project Initiation Forms / Task Orders for approval by internal and customer leadership
• Publish and maintain project schedules and assigned resources
• Continuous follow through and communication to all stakeholders as defined by the business
• Tracking of project metrics for milestone tracking
• Ordering of project hardware and software based on vendor quotes submitted by subject matter experts
• Managing change control of scope, schedule, budget, and resources
• Remote or onsite coordination of infrastructure implementation/integration
• Continuous follow up of hardware and software purchase orders until invoice payment by customer
• Identification of process improvements, process efficiencies, and savings to the customer
• Management and reporting of budget vs. actual project financials
