Review, mark up/draft (from forms and from scratch), negotiate and close commercial contracts, including license with content suppliers, services agreements, RFP responses and supporting documents, joint venture agreement, heads of agreements for new business opportunities, employment agreements, leases and all other related legal requirements Support other Legal Team members in complex commercial contracting and other matters Provide rapid, practical, business
-oriented legal/commercial advice to other Legal Team members and directly to business clients Support business clients in negotiating price, deliverables, services scope, warranty and other commercial terms Apply innovative problem
-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize revenues, minimize risk for organisation and foster long
-term client relationships Collaborate with and facilitate cross
-team decision
-making among the Legal Team, HR Team, Finance Team, business teams and other internal teams Education:
• Law degree from an established internationally renowned law school Experience:
• 1 to 3 years experience in a law firm or large corporation (experience in a multinational company preferred)
• Significant experience in a media organisation preferably a broadcast entity negotiating license, and other contracts or other experience demonstrating ability to handle complex commercial and legal negotiations
• Familiarity with consulting, information technology services and advertising/marketing business and contracts valued Skills:
• Ability to draft and close agreements independently
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively within a team (located in multiple jurisdictions) and a fast
-paced business environment
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Demonstrated ability to think and decide quickly, and to communicate legal issues and solutions clearly and concisely
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a clear and concise drafting style
• Ability to grasp and use finance concepts (such as cash flow, margin analysis, revenue recognition) in contract negotiation
• Knowledge of basic media related contractual issues including those pertaining to licensing of content for broadcast
