Finance Director : New Talents

Job Objective Director and oversee the Finance Department by taking overall responsibility for the Departments functions and activities and ensure that all accounting functions are performed in accordance to the overall guidelines prescribed by the Support Services and adequate support is provided to the Divisions core functions. Key Responsibilities/Duties Prepare yearly strategic plan and budget for the department in addition to the budget preparation for the entire Organisation. Control departmental spending as well as monitor the overall Organisation spending against budget. Prepare and analyze financial statements and provide required reports with explanations. Develop and maintain required accounting systems and recommend internal changes to policies and guidelines if necessary. Act as an advisor on accounting related issues to the Organisation. Monitor legal requirements with respect to accounting rules. Cooperate with Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority or any external auditor. Collect, process, and consolidate the financial (accounting) data of the Organisation and manage payables and receivables. Complete annual inventory of fixed assets. Plan and control the capital structure of the Organisation (debt/equity ratio, cash management). Verify all monetary and cash transactions and their legality according to current local guidelines. Control, disburse and prepare reports on petty cash usage. Coordinate, prepare and execute transactions, including payroll. Verify and analyze bank statements. Ensure proper recording of all transactions related to payroll, payroll generation, accounts receivable and accounts payable ensuring compliance with guidelines prescribed by the Department of Finance. -end closing schedules; manage the GL closing activities and ensure that they are completed in accordance to the guidelines set by Department of Finance. Monitor and control resources, costs and overseeing spending as per budget for the entire Organisation. Manage the general ledger. Coordinate with external financial institutions including banks and insurance companies and resolve any issues. Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit or verify information and/or data. Create necessary reports in response to requests for financial analysis from the Support Services Executive Director and the GM. Handle complaints, setting disputes and resolve them. Supervise, assess and evaluate direct subordinates Provide coaching and mentorship to direct subordinates and handle grievances Perform other required duties Job skills Technical knowledge
