Quantity Surveyor : Select Human Resources

Our client a leading EPC company located in Abu Dhabi, with projects in Power, Water & Oil are looking to hire a “Claims Chartered Quantity Surveyor” The role would include but not be limited to
- The most important requirement that the Company places on the Quantity Surveyor is to ensure that projects maintain a positive cash flow position at all times. This will be achieved through accurate and effective management of financial expenditure. Accurate costing of claims/valuations and variations are key to this objective and must remain paramount in work ethics. Prepare monthly valuation applications in adequate time for inclusion within the Main Contract Valuation. Calculate costs associated with contract variations on an ‘as we proceed’ basis. Prepare internal financial cost reconciliation reports on a monthly basis and reporting reasons for additional expenditure. Liaise with other staff and personnel on cost expenditure and management. Deal with contract advice, claim preparation, adjudication and arbitration support Ensuring contractual notices and client entitlements are properly administered Re
-measuring and valuing valuations Interpreting and offering advice on contract Liaise with our Clients Quantity Surveyor, to ensure good relations. Assist the Project Manager with advice on our contractual rights; remedies and methods of redress on acceleration variations, delays, extension of time. Well aware about preparation of financial claims. Management of Sub
-contractor packages mainly monitoring payments, variations and final account settlement. To perform the duties of a Quantity Surveyor in accordance with the company’s current health and safety policy and procedures and supervision of quantity surveyors. To undertake any other duties, as requested, that reasonably falls within the scope of the job. The ideal candiate should possess
- An Engineering degree, or equivalent professional qualification in Quantity Surveying from an internationally recognised university, MRICS graduate. Achievement of, or the candidate’s advanced progression towards MRICS or equivalent qualification, highly desirable. Having a minimum 10
-15 years previous knowledge and experience in Quantity Surveying with Claims. Demonstrable experience on your CV of your ability to perform unassisted claims duties. Experience of managing junior and other quantity surveying /claims staff and of taking full responsibility for project progress and completion. Experience of a Claims based Quantity Surveying role on high value projects , EPC is desirable to assist swift integration into massive projects Our client offers attractive salary & benefits to the selected candidate.
