Leads a team of staff that design, develop, implement and support application software. Liaise with end
-users in helping them to specify business requirements, review business process, define product related parameters and implement business modules. Keeps abreast of latest technology development and acts as a technology advisor to senior IT managers. Plans implementation of application modules and system support. This position plays team lead role in planning and executing those plans, coaching and guiding the team members in their day to day work and tasks. Tasks:
• Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established by Senior Management or Project Manager for this position.
• Plans and manage small project, module or system enhancement. Ensures that required project packages are delivered on time and with agreed quality standards. Develops required projects deliverables such RFP, Vendor scoring Functional Specifications, Transition plan ,etc.
• Manage application support process (s)
• Provides advice to Senior Management on technical matters.
• Performs training needs analysis and plan for training of team members.
• Works on the development and implementation of application systems as required by senior management.
• Develops Nationals as directed by senior management.Experience:
• Knowledge and experience of Wholesale, Corporate, SME banking modules
• Development of Functional Specifications based on Users Business Requirements Specifications
• Liaison with Vendor or Development Teams to ensure timely solution delivery
• Strong MIS knowledge. Ability to assist Users in generating MIS reports, knowledge of BO and ODS desirable.
• Knowledge of Unix, Windows Operating System, Oracle & MS
-SQL database, PL/SQL, SQL language, Websphere Server, Application Architecture
• Understanding Enterprise Service Bus (middleware) concepts and TIBCO development knowledge.
• Understanding of Release Management, Change Management and Problem Escalation process.
