General Mission :
• Conceptualize, Create, Draw and Install Windows projects for our Hermes Stores in the Region.
• Manage the display requirements and negotiate with the suppliers for the best prices of the materials, to produce in
-store items, window displays or mannequins as required, within allotted time and in a cost effective manner.
• Install/Merchandise all the display items/goods as per approved concept / design / theme to attract the attention of customers and draw them towards the given product.
• Remove the display materials at the end of allotted time, carefully dismantle, pack and transport them back to the warehouse to enable codification and storage of materials properly for future use.
• Update/rotate the merchandise as per the guidelines of the Sales & Operations Management to attract customer attention.
• Maintain a calendar of windows, events and action plans in order to prepare and submit daily reports on the work presented in stores.
• Coordinate with the Hermes French Head Office in order to acknowledge the artistic trend input by Hermes.
• Keep abreast of the recent worldwide and local artistic trends and incorporate these features in the display to ensure they are in line with the modern trends and the Hermes guidelines.
• Seek new and innovative ways of display to enhance the uniqueness of Hermes image. Guidelines to create a Window for Hermes :
• Each window display should capture the passerby’s eye, in order to transform him or her into a spectator.
• Once the spectator is captured he must be seduced : the display should be clear enough to catch his eye but it should not immediately reveal itself; it should leave room for the spectator to discover on his own its mysteries.
• As soon as the spectator is seduced he must then be converted into a buyer. A successful window makes this happen automatically. The object in the window is a coveted object now by its spectator!
• The key tool of this seducing play is clearly the object itself
- it is our best ambassador. ” The image deceives, the object never does “. Peoples perceptions of Hermès are through the iconic Kelly bags, scarves and ties….our customers have strong personal links almost fetishist links with our objects. They do not hesitate to transmit them from one generation to another. Window displays should anticipate this link. With this perspective the object becomes an actor.
• Windows should be specific. An Hermès window should be impossible for anyone to be able to substitute a product with another companies product. The window decor should completely comply with the rigorous fantasy of Hermès.
• O’ level / intermediate, with tertiary qualifications in fine or commercial arts.
• Computer Literacy
• Willingness and ability to work outside office hours and on weekends
• Flexible, Team player, Works under pressure
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience
