Job Description The Social Media Intern will implement the Social Eyez Social Media Strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption. This role coordinates with the internal Marketing and PR teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media presence and referral network. Responsibilities – Work closely with the Head Of Social Eyez to implement the social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across Social Eyez and working within the various social network environments to ensure the Social Eyez brand, message, and programs are represented consistently and regularly. – Monitor social media tools (i.e. FB connect, Sharing buttons) work properly and are kept up to date – Research and compile social media content database. – Implement social media campaigns and day -to -day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community -outreach efforts, promotions, etc. – Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed – Become an advocate of Social Eyez in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate – Manage the community of bloggers and build an active brand ambassador network to spread the word about Social Eyez – Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results – Regularly provide feedback and insights gained from social media monitoring to the Head Of Social Eyez, to help evolve strategies in a timely fashion – Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applicationsRequirements: – Strong project management or organizational skills – In -depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios – Knowledge of blogging platforms and environment relevant to the study abroad field – Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships – Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and offer suggestions and innovative ideas – Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly – Have a good knowledge of principles of SEO – Public relations, Marketing, Sales, Media Background, Community Management qualification and experience required About You: – You -re interested in new media marketing and social networking strategy. – Arabic/English fluency is a must. – You -re active on several social networks including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and the like. – You -re familiar with – if not read regularly – Mashable. – You -ve kept an active blog or read several blogs regularly. – You know the difference between HootSuite and TweetDeck.
