Overall purpose of the Job To maintain and develop the SEHA Health Information Systems. Areas of focus include (but not limited to): • Create, modify, test (functional test with Application specialists) and maintain reports throughout all the Cerner applications • Provide ongoing technical and troubleshooting support for stakeholders surrounding reports, labels and extracts • Participation both horizontal development (addition of new facilities) and sustaining post implementation facilities; and vertical development adding or enhancing functionality. • Supporting/facilitating stakeholders new requirements for data using CCL or other reporting tools like PowerInsight or Powervision • Provide training on reporting tools • Support stakeholders in developing KPI dashboards List of the job content in terms of tasks, activities or duties • General: • Provides support for all data reporting requirements • Escalates issues / concerns appropriately • Supports HIS Team Members and covers duties as requested by Configuration Manager during absences or vacations • Regularly attends SEHA HIS Team Meetings and other committees or group meetings as required • Prepares status reports as appropriate • Plans and maintains proficiency and updates skills on areas of responsibility via quarterly goals and objectives • Performs other duties as assigned • Reporting and Management: • Recommends and supports the development of facility specific and/or enterprise reports and extracts using best tool for such requests • Facilitate cross hospitals discussion to standardize reporting requirements • Prepares technical specifications from business requirements • Analyzes and revises existing Cerner label programs and documents modifications as necessary • Programs modifications using application language code and tools • Creates complex Cerner reports and extracts of data using tools like but not limited to CCL, PowerInsight, Powervision • Application Management: • Scheduling, leading, participating and documenting regular presentations, meetings and workshops with participants from Cerner, facilities, SEHA and other interested parties to understand new requirements and present to Change Control Board (CCB) • Independently investigate logged issues with resulting proposals made to the sites, work teams, or CCB.
