Group: Al Jaber Group Subsidiary: Al Jaber Energy Services Job Title: Field Engineer Job Ref: AJES-FDER-001 Job Type: Permanent # of Positions: 50 Start: ASAP Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Compensation: Competitive Salary, Housing, Transportation, Private Medical, And 30 Days Paid Vacation etc. etc. The Project & Contract Details Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd (Gasco) has awarded Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPC) works contracts at the Habshan Sulphur Station and Pipelines, and Ruwais Sulphur Handling Terminal-2 to a consortium of two parties, one of which is Al Jaber Energy Services (AJES), Abu Dhabi. AJES was awarded a Dh2.25 billion contract with a completion period of 36 months The project contracts are on lump sum turnkey basis for the Shah and Habshan Rail (SHR) Granulated Sulphur Transportation and Management Project. The project will transport granulated sulphur from the Shah and Habshan Stations to export terminals at Ruwais via rail and will replace the current transportation of liquid sulphur via tankers to Ruwais. Liquid sulphur produced at the Shah and Habshan Processing Plants will be transported in pipelines to the Shah and Habshan Granule Plants to be granulated and loaded on railcars. The granulated sulphur will then be transported on the Union Railway system to the Sulphur Terminal in Ruwais where it will be unloaded and exported by ship to international markets …..Hence we are now urgently and pro-actively hiring and seeking 50 Field engineers Description: Responsible for construction engineering activities related to subcontracts and interpretation of design drawings and specifications. Reports to: Lead Field Engineer Direct Reports: Draftsman Internal Working Relations: Procurement, QA/QC, Construction External Working Relations: Subcontractors, Suppliers Core Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform constructability reviews on the project • Utilize project automation tools • Prepare field designs in accordance with project agreements and design temporary construction facilities as required • Implement project construction quality control requirements including inspection and testing of in-progress/completed installations and development of punch lists for incomplete work • Prepare Deviation Reports to document non-conforming conditions as required. • Provide technical direction and support to superintendents and field craft supervision • Prepare field design changes and implement design document distribution for the project • Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project • Prepare material summary reports as required, report installed quantities and provide input to the project critical items list as required • Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR’s) and Material Approval Requests (MAR’s) for permanent plant materials as required • Perform receipt inspection and monitoring of interim construction site storage areas for permanent plant materials and implement a preventive maintenance program for permanent plant project equipment prior to installation • Perform Subcontracts Coordination including administration of project back charges • Perform system/area turnovers including preparation of applicable as built documents and inspection records required by the contract Key Results/Outcomes: • Permanent / construction materials approved, ordered and delivered to meet construction schedules and comply with specified requirements.
