Our client is an Abu Dhabi Based organisation and the are currently seeking to hire a head of department for all Quality and Health & Safety across the business. The role will involve coordination of the overall activities of the company to meet quality, health and safety standards; monitors and gives advice on performance issues related to Quality Management Systems and Health and Safety. Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the company to ensure that quality and safety systems are functioning properly. – Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the company; – Serves as the primary quality control and safety source for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement – Develops and implement quality management strategy and plans to support, contribute to and integrate within the company -s business plan and long term strategy; – Designs, develops and ensures full implementation of quality control and safety systems; – Designs, implements and documents procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection; – Establish and implements metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions; – Submits reports on quality and safety violations and performs root -cause analysis and other problem solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements; – Ensures the application of all related processes, policies and procedures prior to commencement of company`s projects and respected throughout the full life cycle of the projects; – Ensures compliance with national and international standards and legislation; – Establishes and implements necessary communications strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality and safety issues across all departments; – Prepares and manages department budget in line with the company`s objective and in full coordination with the CFO; – Approves the annual safety and security plan and goals, identifies projects, sets budgets and manages expenditures; – Monitors the implementation of the safety and security plan, supporting the Company -s goals and objectives; – Performs systematic and periodical reviews and reports to management on quality and safety issues, trends and losses; – Perform periodical visits to different locations to ensure full implementation of quality and safety standards. – Manages and monitors quality control and safety personnel on day -to -day basis; – Provide ongoing training and communication to quality and safety personnel located in different business units within the company. Monitors and approves investigation reports regarding theft, alarms, accidents, injuries and other incidents that may occur; – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or in any other related field – 10+ years experience in QA systems implementation and management safety and quality in the contracting industry. – Performs any other related job duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description.
