Role Purpose : The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Accounting Department, defining, developing and implementing plans, policies and procedures that meet the needs of the business. Key Accountabilities : * Plans and implements work objectives and schedules through leadership of a specialist team by setting objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating employees, in order to ensure an effective service is provided to the business and the highest levels of performance are achieved.* Provides to internal customers professional advice and guidance on policies and accounting issues in order to ensure that policies are properly applied and implemented and high standards in accounting practice are achieved and maintained.* Drafts and develops policies and procedures, manages development projects as required and signs off changes proposed by subordinates/others, in order to support the ongoing development of accounting provision and standards.* Prepares and complies financial reports, plans and budgets for the department, reviews and coordinates contributions of others, encourages implementation of recommendations and manages to deliver results to quality, time and budget objectives.* Anticipates, assesses and resolves complex problems which impact the work of the Accounting Department and/or are critical to the business.* Assists external auditors and tax investigators through the provision of required/ relevant data and/or Azadea financial policy explanation in order to assist in the verification of publishe* Develops and maintains excellent relationships internally and externally, establishing networks and influencing external bodies, as appropriate, on behalf of the company.* Ensures the organization is in compliance with the tax regulations and laws affecting the business and consults with tax Advisors, preferably the assigned auditor, in order to be up to date with all the newly published laws.* Ensures proper funds are available to run the operation, including proper cash flow management (on daily basis) and forecast to be able to identify ahead of time the financial needs by amount and by type (Over Drafts, CIL, Term Loans, LGs, SBLCs, FOREX).* Carefully executes hedging activities as communicated by Group Treasurer on a necessity basis (daily if needed).* Updates and maintains the Euro needs by monitoring the Purchase Orders placed by the brand/shop managers and to cover the outstanding Euro exposure, if any.* Produces monthly financial reports in accordance with the integrated forms provided by the regional office, reviews, analyzes and discusses them with the country manager before sending them to the regional office.* Ensures that all payments/transfers to the suppliers are executed (to hit the suppliers’ bank account) on time (according to the franchise agreement or any other agreed upon terms) and notifies the suppliers by sending them the swift copies of the transfers.
